This time they hired me as the WordPress developer and front-end coder. To speed up the development of the theme, I created the prototype on Webflow, a no-code platform. The visual editor helped me stay pixel perfect. I exported the HTML/CSS code from Webflow and used it when creating the WordPress theme.

The challenge was the code of the content. All text is automatically imported as a follow structure: "Question" is a post title and all "Answers" are paragraphs. So I wrote custom scripts and CSS to achieve the desired look. All titles and bredcrumbs were rewritten because the native SEO structure of Wordpress isn't 100% correct. The meta tags are created with my custom script, but the marketing team can also edit them with an SEO plugin.
Since users cannot post images, the site is visually too text-heavy. To make it more appealing, each category has its own bright illustration/icon. This also helps users navigate the site.

I placed ads in the positions predefined by the marketing department. We did A/B testing for a year and selected the best placements. The ads look natural and help increase sales.
